Every Special Child Is seeking a dedicated and qualified School Speech Therapist/ School Speech-Language Pathologist for the next School Year (2024 -25) to join our team in San Diego County, CA.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders, including articulation, language, voice, and fluency disorders
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address each client's unique needs and goals.
  3. Provide individual or group therapy sessions to improve communication and swallowing skills.
  4. Use evidence-based practices and technologies to support communication and swallowing goals.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and caregivers to ensure a coordinated approach to care
  6. Provide education and training to clients, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies
  7. Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  8. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessment and treatment activities
  9. Participate in professional development activities to stay current on best practices and new technologies in the field.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology State License.
  • Clinical experience working with clients of all ages with a variety of communication and swallowing disorders
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and technologies in the field of speech-language pathology.
