About the Position:

 

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, within the Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences at Baylor University, invites applications and nominations for a full-time Tenure Track Faculty position in Speech-Language Pathology to join our dynamic and collaborative team. The position will include teaching and research responsibilities. The academic rank for this position will be at Assistant Professor level; salary is commensurate with experience and credentials. About the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders

 

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders offers residential bachelor's, residential and online master's, and PhD degrees in Speech-Language Pathology; the program is CAA-certified. The program comprises more than 300 undergraduate students, 100 residential graduate students, over 300 online graduate students, and six PhD students.

Qualifications:

 

Qualifications

 

• A Doctorate (Ph.D./Ed.D.) in Communication Sciences and Disorders and /or Speech and Hearing Sciences is required.

• Qualified candidates should have academic credentials commensurate with an appointment at the rank of assistant professor.

• The successful candidate will be expected to continue building upon a strong track record of interdisciplinary and collaborative research, scholarly productivity, and a demonstrated ability to secure extramural funding.

• In accordance with the university’s faith mission, applicants must show evidence of an active Christian or Jewish faith to be considered.

 

Preferred

 

• Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in autism and augmentative alternative communication.

• Experience in teaching and/or research is preferred.

• Certification by ASHA (CCC-SLP) and eligibility for Texas State licensure are preferred.

• Candidates with a strong foundation in research, publishing, and teaching excellence in communication sciences and disorders will receive special consideration.
