Case Manager Wanted for School-Based Evaluation Team - Full-Time, Year Round

Key Responsibilities:

Coordination of Evaluation Process:

• Oversee and coordinate evaluations for students referred for special education.
• Schedule and facilitate evaluation team meetings.
• Monitor timelines to ensure timely completion of evaluations.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Act as the main contact for parents, teachers, and stakeholders.
• Facilitate clear communication between all parties.
• Collaborate with teachers, psychologists, therapists, and administrators.

Documentation and Compliance:

• Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with regulations.
• Maintain detailed records of the evaluation process.
• Prepare and submit required reports on time.

IEP Development:

• Assist in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Ensure IEPs comply with regulations and meet student needs.

Support and Advocacy:

• Provide support and advocacy for parents and students.
• Educate parents about their rights and the evaluation process.
• Address concerns and questions during evaluations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Pennsylvania certification or licensure preferred.
• Experience in special education, case management, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws and processes.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in using technology for documentation and communication.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, and move about the school environment.
• Capability to lift and carry materials as needed.
