Speech and Language Pathologist

We are looking to provide essential speech and language therapy to students in grades K-8 and high school.

Position Details:

• Position: Speech Therapist
• Contract Duration: 9-10 months
• Salary: Up to $72 per hour (DOE)
  Clinical Fellows: Up to $45 per hour (DOE)
• Choose from Locations: The Bronx and Manhattan (Washington Heights, Inwood, Harlem, Spanish Harlem)

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy to students in grades K-8 or high school, depending on placement.
• Assess and develop individualized therapy plans to address communication.
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure optimal student support.
• Maintain accurate records and submit required reports.
• Help improve speech clarity, language skills, and social communication.
• Provide strategies to enhance receptive and expressive language.
• Educate families and school personnel on supporting communication development.
• Assist students with cognitive communication issues, including memory, problem-solving, and executive functioning.
• Offer recommendations for continued care

Job Requirements:

• Valid New York State SLP license.
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Post-fellowship preferred, but Clinical Fellows will also be considered.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
• Must be able to fulfill a 9 month contract
