We definitely need more courses like this! So often "subtle" cognitive-communication deficits have massive impacts on mental health and success in the "real world". This was a great introduction to different ways to catch those skill challenges outside of using less-sensitive and less-ecologically-valid standardized assessment.

This was a tough-go as their where no quiz cues in the PDF. I failed the 1st question, because she was not crystal clear about every category being at the "highest" risk. Having worked in a TBI setting for 5 years, 20=25 year old males were pretty much the profile. I am not saying that I am better than the instructor, but when you work the field and you are told differently from what you learned....that's difficult. However, every school speech path should take this course.

I left this presentation with a lot of unanswered questions. 50ish minutes was not enough time to make good on the promise of learning how to conduct an assessment for a student with a TBI. I also felt that the presenter made assumptions about the public school setting that weren't accurate.
