I work in a school, and tend to do more "educational" based speech therapy. This is an area in the field that I am not too familiar with, so all of the "introductory" information was fantastic. I would actually know where to start now. I also could give more specific pointers to any students that are struggling with gender dysphoria and could at least point them in the right direction.

I’m a gay man with a background in classical music (singing, with a graduate degree) who has experienced gender dysphoria since I was a toddler. I’m extremely impressed with the presenter’s thorough (she didn’t miss a thing as far as I’m concerned), empathetic and well ordered presentation. Her ability to demonstrate her points and the exercises she is sharing is remarakable (her theater background no doubt helps). There’s so much more I’d like to say!

This course was a great introduction to transgender vocal needs. It gives basic terminology and therapy techniques. I especially found it helpful to include the nonverbal aspects of communication. Nonverbal communication therapy is absolutely essential to help develop an individual's competence and comfort with their identity.

Maybe define Trans woman and Trans man before moving on. I had to figure it out.
