Connie K. Porcaro
PhD CCC-SLP
Connie K. Porcaro serves as Department Head and Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Valdosta State University. She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and has worked as a speech-language pathologist for more than 25 years with clients of all ages. Her main area of research is focused on intelligibility in adult patients with speech and voice disorders. Rather than focusing solely on what the speaker can do to improve communication, Dr. Porcaro strongly believes that listeners are also partners in the process and that the environment plays a vital role and can also be altered to improve communication.
