I liked the case studies used to demonstrate the learning outcomes. This course brought up factors I did not consider, especially that supportive feeding can increase the risk of aspiration. It totally made sense once the presenter discussed the studies and how it impacts the resident's natural response.

This is something I see on a daily basis in my current work environment. Many staff are encouraged to feed patients because it is "faster". Working to change this practice.

Presentation was cohesive. I really like the idea of a volunteer organization coming in to provide healthy models. What a great work-around! I remember being a grad student and wanting to eat a snack alongside my client to provide such modeling, but was told that it's seen as a sanitation issue. The being awake for 30 minutes before meals is also a good thing to consider.
