The speaker's pacing/conversational approach was excellent. She gave a well balanced presentation of research, practical discussions and examples of collaboration. This was an outstanding opportunity to understand how the SLP can be involved to coordinate recovery and anticipate future problems that may be missed. There are may small things SLPs can do and follow up on to identify these students and create future success in class. The Q&A was helpful. Test questions gave a good key point review.

Frustrate me as as a school-based SLP working in low SES schools, while I would love to be more collaborative in addressing brain injuries and I have a family member who had a double aneurysm at age 32, but burgeoning caseloads (I currently have 80 students and growing) and lack of resources (I have to buy my own copy paper and any new supplies that aren't donated) prohibit the beautiful, wonderful collaboration that would help students. There were some good ideas in the course.
