This content is applicable to a wide number of my students. I could picture specific students who have challenges discussed. It reinforced my confidence in what I am doing for some students and has reassured me that the time I am spending to collaborate with the team is worthwhile. It also made me rethink some of my approaches to therapy, and gave me applicable ideas for improvement of my own methods.

This is information that should be integrated into ALL SLP's treatment with their students. Our kids are more than just their goals or progress- they are people too that deserve to be seen and understood.

This topic is definitely a "hot topic" right now working in schools. So many students (adolescents) need social and emotional support but sadly there does not feel like enough time in the day with IEP goals and mandated caseload but I hope with this data and these lesson plans/collaborative framework, us school-SLPs an start incorporating more and justifying these kids on our caseloads.

Much of this course focused on collaboration with mental health providers which I think is fantastic but I work in a very rural school with little to no mental health provider support available (5 schools with one guidance counselor that only works in the larger of the schools and two part time contracted counselors for the others). The premise of the course is nice but in some ways I feel would be difficult to implement in a meaningful impactful way on your own.
