The presentation was very, very informative and as a previous high school speech and language pathologist I can relae to some observalce behaviors presented. The strategies provided were excellent and I agree it takes a team approach. The challenge most providers will have is getting administration buy in as they hace full agenda every year with little room for anything else. I do agree that working with teachers are more beneficail.

This is a topic that I do not have a lot of experience with, but understand that working with adolescents needs to focus on these social emotional issues before they can participate in and learn at school. I really support this way of looking at speech language therapy for this population rather than focusing so much on the academics.

I was just amazed with the whole presentation. I will definitely look for more from this presenter. She is catching some of the kids who might otherwise fall through the cracks. How sad that her expertise had to be: "sold" to the upper ups. So tired of hearing how others have to jump through hoops to be recognized for their efforts. I applaud her efforts and successes!

This was a very informative and much needed presentation. The mental health of our students is a very current and important topic. It was helpful seeing how mental health impacts all areas of a persons development and crosses all areas of interpersonal, intrapersonal and academic areas and hearing how these issues require a collaborative approach. I would very much like to start seeing schools work with families - as mental health has not been something that has been taught before.
