Carolyn (Carney) Sotto PhD, is a Professor and Undergraduate Program Director in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at the University of Cincinnati. She teaches graduate and undergraduate students in the areas of assessment, clinical processes, speech sound disorders, phonetics, child language disorders & literacy and each course incorporates diversity, equity and inclusion education and topics. She teaches to on-campus students and online students in New York, Israel, Rural Ohio, Indiana & Kentucky. Carney was awarded Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in 2018, was President of the Ohio Speech-Language-Hearing Association (OSLHA) and awarded both Fellow and Honors of the Association of OSLHA. She is faculty advisor for UC NSSLHA student organization chapter, which was awarded National Chapter of the Year Honors 3 times in the past 10 years. She is also faculty advisor and co-founder of the student organization, Multicultural concerns in CSD (MC2).
