The course was well thought out and I liked that it explained some brain aspect to how we feel when we use screen time. This goes to show why older people are having less in person conversation because of how our phones makes us feel such as scrolling or swiping on instagram!

This was a great article; however, the claims that masks "do not" impact the development of articulation and phonological awareness are entirely false. Research confirms that masks decrease the volume of the speaker's voice which in turn simulates a hearing loss to the listener. It is widely known that optimal hearing is essential to the development of articulation and phonological awareness.

The presenter did an excellent job of explaining the complex and making it accessible. Tech's effect on the brain was well argued but find the correlation of the rise in autism with increased technology use an implication that's too much for me. There are multiple other factors, including the ridiculous vaccination schedule early in life that are highly suspect in this. I fear as well meaning as he is, he's putting way too much weight on tech use as a potential cause for autism.
