I work with clients who have cognitive-linguistic and executive functioning deficits daily. It was excellent to see all of the substrates and correlates for right hemisphere disorder broken down and identified according to localization and function. I especially appreciated the discussion of apragmatism, social cognition, and theory of mind. I also appreciated the discussion regarding cerebellar cognitive affective syndrome (CCAS).

Great information when initially receiving a patient. I feel more confident in completing a chart review and using neuroanatomy as a basis of where I need to start and determine assessment type. I wish I had this breakdown in grad school.

This was a fine presentation. Lots of review for me overall, but as cognition is an area of interest, that is to be somewhat expected. I wish the presenter would have gotten right to the material rather than giving us a long backstory. I appreciated the neuroanatomy review, especially as it pertains to what we might expect with right hemisphere damage to a particular lobe.

This course taught me the information I had not clearly understood before. For example, I did not know why right neglect is not severe compared to left neglect. No one taught me that the left hemisphere is in charge of attending to our right side, whereas our right hemisphere is in charge of boththe left and the right side visually. It makes sense to still have a gross visual sense in the right side following the left hemisphere damage due to the right-sided attention from both sides of brain.
