Self care is not area that many SLP's are very good at doing. It is good to be reminded of ways to take care of yourself anon order to avoid the burnout that our demanding profession can bring.

It is so critical to highlight the importance of a practitioner's mental and physical well-being and how neglecting those aspects through various personal habits can impact our ability to show up positively for our patients. This course examined and explained these concepts very clearly and succinctly. Great work!

90% of it is stuff that is already basic knowledge. Would have liked to see from a therapist perspective of how working with specific disorders especially in the severe to profound range for 40 hours a week can contribute to burn out and what can be done to help improve burn out SPECIFICALLY when working with severe cases or those with high needs.

These courses are always silly to me. They go over what burnout is and stressful work can be and give the same anecdotes they alwyas do: eat well, exercise, get good sleep. But rarely provide USEFUL examples. Saying "set time aside for yourself" is not innovative or useful. I want resources that teach me things like "pomodoro technique" or give me resources that provide "quick and healthy meals." Don't just say the things we know we're supposed to be doing, help us do them with helpful resources
