This was a fantastic course. The instructor was clearly very knowledgeable and his presentation was organized and generally pretty easy to follow despite the level of complexity of the information. I found that I learned several new-to-me concepts that are highly applicable to ST and that I will be able to apply to my practice. Would definitely recommend to any SLP regardless of your primary treatment population. If you’re a med SLP in particular, this course is awesome.

I thought the information presented was very important and informative, especially with how it applies to therapy, and our roles as therapists. I have had patients who are in pain during our sessions and it can be a barrier to achieving treatment goals. The presenter did a great job of helping me to understand chronic pain, and how it can be addressed.

I thoroughly enjoyed this topic and Mike's presentation! It was of a personal interest rather than a professional (ie., I'm a retired SLP but continue in the profession as an adjunct instructor of Phonetics.) Mike was personable in his delivery, and he was articulate in his delivery. The information was well organized. Mike often rephrased and repeated in order for listeners to understand and grasp the concepts.

Mind blowing information, a must for everyone. I loved the title. Pain underlies so many of our cases, whether it's part of the diagnosis we are working on or not. And either way, we have an opportunity to do the most basic things to help the person in front of us. The Practical Strategies power points are helpful for me to remember there are things I can do, or build into therapy.

Presenter was so deeply knowledgeable on his subject. His affable nature came out in last portion regarding his sessions, truly listening to patient, addressing their beliefs of what works or doesn't, incorporating that into therapy, expanding their sense of autonomy. Initially with sure-to-improve therapy goals, I have PATIENT do charting on colorful bar graphs.
