She did a "bang-up" job of presenting this type of litigious existence. I have been in the DEEP trenches of RICH people, particularly with Loudoun County Public Schools (western suburb of Washington, DC) and those families are SO AFFLUENT that mom (mostly) or dad makes their whole mission about their special needs child. They have the money for lawyers, advocates, specialty everything... I don't have enough characters to describe it all. ugh Your small box limited me. Oh well.

The presenter has a style that is easy to follow, with examples, a video, and good explanations. Her suggestions, (learning about public speaking, confidence poses, preparation) were very helpful. This video should be required for new clinicians!!!!

I'm lucky that both of the districts that I have worked for implemented many of the strategies that Rose shared, and I'm glad that for once, we were ahead of the curve at least in this area of navigating tough IEPs. I do appreciate Rose providing her experience being both the outside therapist/evaluator vs. the school-based SLP AND her emphasis on highlighting that there is a difference between a medical speech model and a school-based speech model.

& touching base with live audience about their experiences (I watched recorded version). Her varied experiences & positions helped give an all around view from different perspectives. I appreciate at the end talking about what she could have done differently in the contentious meeting with no support from administration - as she said we are all on a journey & there is always room for reflection & growth.

I appreciated the analogies used, as well as the presenter providing the transcript. I learn better through reading; therefore, having the transcript made it increasingly easier to retain the information. My favorite aspect was the part referring to collaboration with various professionals. OT and PTs are more common, but it was interesting to hear of other professionals we may come in contact with, such as advocates, lawyers, etc.

The topic was great, however, if viewers like to follow along with the provided power point, the may be lost as it is mostly pictures. I often found myself having to read the transcript multiple times, to recall information for clarity due to the storytelling examples. Speaker would make a point (or start) and then immediately go into a random story, and the actual point is much later in presentation.
