Thos is an important topic. Use of real life examples would have assisted learning. Bringing two theoretical topics together for an integration requires that each one already have been mastered. For this, incorporarte examples that display the need for that theory or technique and how to put it into use.

This course was a great reminder that students and clinicians are coming into speech therapy sessions with so much more than the goals outlined in their plans. I work in a building where a majority of my students are facing hardships outside of the learning environment, so the suggestions here are a great reminder that taking a little time to be present and mindful can support both my students and myself.

It's a pleasure to listen to Jessi. She is very calming. She defined and talked about the similarities and differences between mindfulness and SEL. Mindfulness works well in the classroom because it helps children relax and relieve stress.SEL helps children learn life's skills. Jessi recommended acivities to be used in the classroom that will help promote mindfulness and SEL She also recommended resources that can be used. This course was very informative.
