We work with many with different backgrounds, education levels, work history and bias. Conflict is bound to happen as we all do things a different way with the same outcome in mind usually. This was a great course in identifying what we have experienced, that it will happen in our line of work and how to best manage. Great resources to follow up with as well.

As I was taking this course, I reflected on the last decade as to what happened after reporting research fraud at the University of Utah. I frequently reflect as to what I possibly could have done differently. This course once again validated that I really couldn't or wouldn't have wanted to do anything different as it involved fraud affecting children's very health and well-being. This course will be very helpful to me as other whistleblowers ask for guidance. THANK YOU!!

I didn't really feel like I got much out it. There were many topics and some were skimmed over while others were given more time. I didn't really feel like I left with any specific strategies to help me with conflict resolution that I didn't already know.

Thank you for reinforcing such important aspects in dealing with some of the difficult, and often unexpected, communication situations in our work . Your insight into conflict resolution is so valuable and should be part of the curriculum in any area that will have us dealing with the public or our co-workers. These tenents also apply to our personal relationships.Thank you

Conflict relates to every aspect of life from personal relationships to work relationships with your clients and management. Loved his emphasis on caring for yourself by being mindful and meditating in order to work through conflicts and preparing for battles every day that might come up. It has motivated me to work hard in these self care areas so that I can show up as my best self when conflict arises

I appreciated the emphasis on achieving productive conflict (e.g., problem solving, open discussion between colleagues, learning from others) and de-escalating or avoiding initial escalation in all possible situations. Conflict in the workplace is always going to occur in some capacity, but approaching conflict with these goals in mind can lead to more positive outcomes.
