Alyssa Freeman received her MA in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Florida in 2016. She joined the clinical faculty at University of Florida Health where she gained extensive experience managing a large population of patients following laryngectomy including voice prosthesis management and leading the local Laryngectomee Support Club in Gainesville, FL. She later relocated to Boston, MA to work at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center as a part of their acute care and head and neck oncology team. During her time at Beth Israel, she worked in the ICU with a focus on dysphagia, tracheostomy, and alternative and augmentative communication. She also developed and coordinated the hospital’s outpatient head and neck cancer care clinic including voice prosthesis management which resulted in extensive programmatic growth. Alyssa joined Atos Medical as a Clinical Educator in 2022.
