The presenters did a good job presenting the material, but i wonder how much this will positively affect SLPs work. I do not beleiee many SLPs use aquatic therapy, although it is an interesting idea.

Interesting topic! While I didn't attend live, I appreciated that the presenter created a mini-mastermind in the chat where attendees were sharing ideas and getting to benefit from one another. Thank you!

This course did a good job encouraging SLPs to think outside the box about all the ways we can use aquatic activities to teach. It can be a very motivating environment to work on many skills!

I love that this course is about a new and different environment for speech therapy, along the lines of adventure therapy. It's an adventure to get into the water and experience the surrounding feel of water pressure, stimulating and activating a variety of areas of the brain to improve and even hasten the brain's connection of language and speech with the rest of life experiences. Exciting!

Loved to receive this information as I have not experienced the topic in my career. Interesting information about the SLP role in aquatic therapy. Positioning for speech and incorporating expressive targets, oral motor and receptive ideas. Presenter was very interactive. I enjoyed the course, but will likely not use the strategies based on my current role in clinic work.

This is one of the most engaging courses I've taken in awhile. Excellent presenter who provides countless examples, encourages brainstorming, ties therapy disciplines together, and weaves great explanations of how an out of the box method for SLPs can dynamically impact an individual. I appreciated the specific connections and suggestions on how to functionally target cognitive-communication, language, and swallowing. I'm already exploring possible set ups for aquatic interventions in my area.

Great speaker! You can tell she's really been there and done it, because she gave such practical application. I loved all the videos to provide tons of examples! The only thing I might've changed would be the inclusion of some more neurodiverse situations and maybe some activities with kids who aren't as easily engaged in structured tasks.

I'm so glad to hear more about this! I was interested in this when I went to grad school 2012-2014, but there were no opportunities for me in my school. I have a background as a lifeguard and water safety instructor, and I've always felt the pool was a great place to target communication skills! This webinar helped me consider other aspects of therapy in the water.

The instructor was just so engaging! She was fun and loved the topic. She made me love the topic. The examples of SLP applications she read from the comment section of the live call were helpful. I was able to think of several applications for therapy myself. One was the squirt bottle or water to aim at dissolving paper or foam words and articulate them.
