Implicit Bias training is an important first step in understanding the complexities of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in healthcare. This LARA-compliant course covers the current research on Implicit Biases as well as interventions that organizations can implement to combat and dismantle Implicit Bias at a macro level. Web content accessibility guidelines and their contribution to reducing implicit bias are also discussed.
This course was created to meet the requirement for Implicit Bias Training for individuals licensed by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) Bureau of Professional Licensing, though information in it is relevant to all states.
