Jennifer earned a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Towson University in Maryland. She began her clinical work in a variety of health care practices treating both adults and pediatrics. Jennifer went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Leadership specializing in Healthcare Management and is currently working towards a Doctorate in Education from Northeastern University with a research focus on burnout. Jennifer currently works as a rehab director and clinical specialist, mentoring and coaching SLPs across the LTAC division for Kindred Healthcare. She completed a certification in Brain Health Coaching through the Amen Clinics and holds an AddHeart Facilitator Certification through HeartMath. She is interested in experimenting with different ways to utilize and teach meditation and mindfulness in her professional and personal life.

Brenda Lovette earned her degree from University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. She completed her clinical fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital before moving to the Boston area where she worked at Spaulding Rehab Hospital on the Brain Injury Unit. She currently works at Emerson Hospital Outpatient Rehabilitation in Concord, MA where she treats all adult diagnoses with a specialty in the management of Post-Concussion Syndrome. She has a special interest in the evidence-based application of meditation and mindfulness in clinical practice. She is a candidate for PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences at the MGH Institute for Health Professions where she will be studying the effect of meditation on the brain and brain injury recovery. She is also a RYT-500 yoga instructor and holds a special certification from Love Your Brain Yoga, an organization that teaches yoga for brain injury survivors.
