Dr. Carole Zangari is a Professor in the Speech Language Pathology department at Nova Southeastern University where she teaches master’s/doctoral courses in AAC, coordinates the AAC Lab, and supports graduate student clinicians. In addition, Dr. Zangari serves as the Executive Director of the Broward satellite of the University of Miami-Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UM-NSU CARD). She is a Board-Certified Specialist in Child Language and a frequent presenter on AAC topics at international and national conferences. Dr. Zangari is the co-editor of Practically Speaking Language, Literacy, and Academic Development for Students with AAC Needs and co-author of TELL ME: AAC in the Preschool Classroom and TELL ME Más: CAA en el Aula Preescolar. Wendy Quach, PhD, CCC-SLP, is a licensed, certified speech-language pathologist and associate professor in the Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences (CDS) at San José State University. Her teaching and research focus on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) for people with complex communication needs and motor speech disorders. She has presented locally, nationally, and internationally and is actively engaged in several collaborative research projects and is supported through several US Department of Education grants. She has a passion for instilling research in her students and has mentored several students on various projects related to AAC.

Amy Miller Sonntag
SLPD CCC-SLP
Amy Miller Sonntag, SLPD, CCC-SLP, is a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist and Clinical Associate Professor at The Ohio State University (OSU). She received her MA from Ohio University and SLPD from Northwestern University. Sonntag is currently a member of the Disaster Relief Committee of USSAAC (United States Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and has presented at numerous state and national conference on topics related to AAC. She has served a diverse population of people ages 18 months to adult with a variety of medical diagnoses to aid in enhancing their communication abilities. In her work at OSU, she teaches coursework in AAC for undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of rehabilitation fields including SLP, occupational and physical therapy, rehabilitation engineers, and special educators. She also provides clinical education and mentorship to graduate clinicians in the MA SLP program in the OSU Speech and Hearing AAC Clinic.
