I love the example videos and the questions to ask as follow up to a coachee to evoke problem solving from them. This encourages them to continue to find their own solution instead of always expecting the coach to solve their problems.

This course was high quality because it provided evidence-based tools on ways to promote growth in coachees. For example, asking analytical and critical thinking questions to support them while prompting independence. The videos provided good modeling on how to communicate with students/coachees. It encompassed objectivity and empathy.

Peer coaching is not something that I had heard of before, and I like the style of it very much. As a supervisor, I get caught in the trap of making evaluative, statement to the students as well, that is something I am going to be more cognizant of. In the school system, it is going to be difficult to implement, but I will be talking with my lead to see what we can do. Thanks for this session!

Watching it in video format - the polls weren’t as helpful and did not keep me engaged. I feel that it dragged on and I watched the same example video more than once, which was not very helpful. The videos were scripted which took away from watching them because the conversation did not come across as authentic.
