I like the handouts and how they specifically show how to incorporate more literacy into the speech sessions. I love the example of letting the kids do their own checkmarks with slide down and slide up cues bc if we “hold their finger on the balance beam” they’ll never learn to do it on their own. Same goes for checking off what they’ve completed to build on that executive function component.

It was really interesting. I have never taken a seminar that focused so heavily on print within the preschool population. It makes sense. I just don't know why we are pushing kids in the academics and play seems to get pushed to the side. I know she incorporated play and movement activities but I wish kids had a chance to be kids.
