Not what made it excellent (which it was), but a comment about the exam. In Question 1, the "correct" answer was "all of the above" which included oral mechanism exam and diadochokinetic rate. However, the presenter m. ade it very clear that neither of those processes actually measures intelligibility, leaving A (orthographic transcription) as the true correct answer. You should contact the presenter and investigate this. Thanks.

I liked how the information was broken up and then brought together, and the great use of evidence to back up the information. I didn't rate this an excellent because I would of liked to hear more examples of relating it to actual clinical practice, such as giving a couple clinical case examples that use actual stimuli.

I felt that the speakers presented the multiple ways we can formally and informally assess dysarthria with the orthographic transcription, visual scale, and percentage. I also enjoyed learning about the overestimation SLP's have vs nonfamiliar listeners. I wished the course provided more information on the formal assessments with case studies

In the real world clinical/acute care setting the tips/methods provided in this course were unrealistic. It also excluded the comorbidity of other various language or cognitive deficits. Transcribing and/or recruiting multiple listeners in order to achieve a label to define the severity of dysarthria is completely impractical in acute facility. It is just not the outcome I was hoping to achieve.
