Much of it felt a bit like a sermon. Lots of rambling. Could have easily been condensed into an hour or less. Takeaways feel like common sense, though I appreciate encouragement to talk about spiritual practices and example questions for how to approach. I feel like an engaged, quality therapist already knows to take much of this into consideration and apply to goals and interactions.

It wasn't until the last 10 minutes that the instructor went over the HOPE questionnaire. I was interested in more case studies and ideas shared on spirituality of different clients and mistakes a therapist might make if they didn't understand certain practices of different cultures or religious groups. For example-Muslim women and how they aren't allowed to show their hair to men and how a therapist may want to make sure the woman is shown respect by making sure she is comfortable.

Important topic. N/a for Q.1 is because I'm not currently employed as an SLP. Prior work settings, esp. at Catholic hospital offered trainings in cultural and spiritual sensitivity. My SLP burnout led me to a second "career" as a trained spiritual director in the Catholic church because I saw how important the spiritual component was for my patients. In my training, I gained a deeper understanding of a soul, how our spirituality is integral to the rest of our lives,& variability in experience
