Presentation style and stories helped to illustrate the presenter's content; spirituality has been an often overlooked component to patient care and support, so this offering was needful and very helpful in terms of how to think about and approach care.

Nice awareness and look at spirituality culture and styles of how we communicate with our patients. I primarily work with adults in acute care settings and I never need to bring up any form of spirituality. This comes up frequently with hospitalized adults.

Important topic. N/a for Q.1 is because I'm not currently employed as an SLP. Prior work settings, esp. at Catholic hospital offered trainings in cultural and spiritual sensitivity. My SLP burnout led me to a second "career" as a trained spiritual director in the Catholic church because I saw how important the spiritual component was for my patients. In my training, I gained a deeper understanding of a soul, how our spirituality is integral to the rest of our lives,& variability in experience

I appreciated listening to a continuing education course that talked about faith and spirituality. I am both an SLP and a mental health counselor. Spirituality can be a huge asset in anyone's healing journey. My relationship with God, through the lens of Christianity, has helped me significantly. I will never force my faith on someone, but I will provide a listening ear for someone to talk through existential thoughts and difficult experiences.

What made this course great is that the instructor educated us that all human beings are shaped by the 4 levels of culture and where we grew up and the people who surrounded us shaped the person we are today. It is also very iimportant to be considerate of each others' differences and love and accept others for who they are.
