Increased understanding of BDNF and the pertinence of providing an enriched environment/therapy session to facilitate BDNF. It was fascinating and I feel it is more and more critical for all of us in our field to be able to explain what we do is important to insurance companies, therapy directors, nursing staff. Thus, the more evidence based research there is the more we will continue to be respected and valued.

The content of this course was exciting to a more seasoned therapist who admittedly has not been reading up on the newest neurology research applicable to the field. I found the presenter's examples of "real-life" treatment to be professionally affirming, as I have found contextualized, socially engaging and FUNCTIONAL treatment to be most helpful to my patients in the SNF/ "rehab to home" settings to facilitate the best possible patient outcomes.
