The presenter explained the similarities and differences of dyslexia and DLD very well and how literacy is affected throughout a child's education due to these disorders. I appreciate all of Dr. Hogan’s efforts and studies regarding these disorders. Highly recommend this course.

I think this is an important topic, especially as we are seeing more shifts in schools from balanced to structured literacy and the resulting increase of S-LP involvement in literacy. Since I am already familiar with DLD and the simple view of reading, the content of this presentation made sense (DLD = listening comp difficulties = reading comp difficulties), but it was also more basic-level information. A good introduction, but I would like more advanced-level content in this area.

The instructor was well organized and addressed information that was current and relevant. The information that was presented was very detailed. The instructor covered a substantial amount of information within the one-hour session and occasionally was a bit difficult to follow. Despite the level of detail, it was difficult to determine whether the answers to a couple of the exam questions were directly specified in the presentation (even with a review of the slides and transcript).
