I myself have experienced these things in my personal life and my work. I love my job and sometimes I can feel overwhelmed and, in the past, felt out of control. These are very helpful ideas in helping reduce the stress that we can feel and help us to become more productive and positive.

This was excellent. I have suffered a traumatic loss of my nephew and realized that I suffer from compassion fatigue. I realize how I have not taken care of myself during this traumatic time and have only taken care of everyone else feeling like I didn't deserve care of myself bc he was my nephew. Focus on taking care of yourself, both in the work place and personally, is a topic for discussion that is long overdue. Too much focus is placed on working a ridiculous number of hours for those that having a good work ethic...add more to those that work and take from those who don't. There needs to be a focus on work / life balance, with supervisors and bosses recognizing and supporting that need. Great topic!
