I loved loved loved this podcast. I loved the examples of modified games to play with children with developmental delays! They can also be easily used with typically developing preschoolers. The modified musical chairs gave me a great idea for a fun and easy game to play at a Christmas party with 3 and 4 years old at my church. The host of this podcast did a wonderful job presenting and keeping my attention, as well. Looking forward to hearing more of her podcasts.

the presenter was engaging and gave examples of games that most families/providers have access to or could do in any environment (simon says, modified musical chairs). I also like how she talked about how these games can be modified so the children can participate- not so much on winning- but just having opportunities to participate and do leisure activities is a goal.

Leisure time goals can be very restricting for autistic children. As clinicians, we must ensure children have sufficient time to unmask in their leisure activities. Even with modifications we are pulling them into our norms and not allowing them to exist in their neurodivergent world.
