The assessment part was good. There are forms that can be used in the schools but we don't have to report anything except a SS. The SS is not what we fully look at for assessments. Also, I feel in the schools there is a lack of information to help with dx'ing CAS and it's often just dx as articulation but denoted in the goals.

It was concise and to the point in regards to covering the history/background of CAS as well as ways to identify it with video examples, assessments to use and videos on how to go about them, specific criteria, and even example cases to help quiz our understanding. It was everything I needed to hear.

This area of speech and language is one of my favorites. I work as a school-based SLP and I'm very excited to try out the 5-3-3 rule and use the comparison charts of "CAS vs Phonological Disorder" and "CAS vs Dysarthria". I enjoyed the embedded videos to show examples and the test scenario information to identify the differences on the comparison charts. This information feels like a puzzle piece that I have been missing. I am eager to watch the next video on the treatment of CAS. Thank you!!

This was an excellent course and really helped clarify some of my questions I had with CAS, like the types of feature and what it looks like in different children. I appreciated all the video modeling from the patients as it helped solidify features or errors I thought I knew/understood I really appreciated how the speaker provided alternative ways to assess CAS if a formal CAS assessment isn't available (like using the ISP and GFTA-3) to help indicate CAS in patients.

I loved learning about the 5-3-3 Rule. This is a great way to analyze the data collected to determine if a child presents with childhood apraxia of speech. I will look for 5 or more features, demonstrated three times each in at least three different contexts.
