This topic is not discussed or taught as much as it should be in graduate programs. The emotional toll of aphasia (and other disabilities) on the patient and family are enormous. The SLP is often the professional who is in the best position to provide screenings and make referrals.

It's a good starting point for SLPs with minimal mental health knowledge however for a more experienced SLPs in mental health, it doesn't offer too much but a good refresher. The screeners were really helpful though!
