It is a good intro to Montessori for seniors. The facility that I work at is currently through the bronze and silver milestones in becoming an accredited Montessori facility through CARD, and I am one of the internal trainers, so the information wasn’t new for me, but I wanted to take this course to see more perspectives on it. I’d love to see a more in-depth approach as we are at the level of internal programming and sustainability of what we have done thus far.

My own children attended Montessori schools and since that time Dr. Montessori’s respect for children’s individuality and the promotion of intrinsic motivation through participating in the community have really impacted how I think of my pediatric patients. I don’t treat adults, so I had not heard of using Montessori ideals for elder care and found it to be such a beautiful and respectful way to provide care.
