My son is 7 yrs and 7 months old, and has been evaluated twice now, and been involved in some form of speech therapy for 4 years. He has also had his hearing tested, and it is normal. What my speech therapist, his teacher and my husband and I have all not

When it comes to disfluency and stuttering - without knowing the particulars of your son, the findings of the past evaluations, and what is currently being suggested in the therapy plan - I would urge you to contact a Board Recognized Specialist in Fluency Disorders to assist you in developing the most effective plan for therapy. You can locate a Board Recognized Specialist in Fluency Disorders closest to you at www.stutteringspecialists.org. As well as assisting you in addressing the concerns for your son's disfluency, I am quite sure the professional you contact would be happy to assist you - and your son's current therapist - in developing a plan to address any other identified needs in the area of your son's speech/language skills development.
