Question
We are going to do video stroboscopy's in office cpt 31579 and are wondering what is the code the speech pathologist would bill for their evaluation?
Answer
Code 92506 could be used in this circumstance. This would involve the SLP's obtaining case history through patient question/answer session, behavioral assessment of vocal function, subjective findings, and functional interpretation of the strobe examination and impressions/recommendations. This would be when the strobe is actually passed by the ENT using 31579 and the SLP is billing for evaluating the patient and writing report.
